DirectorCombining the practical with a highly creative design approach, Martin directs a collaborative, informed and spirited design office.
Martin balances a strong background in environmental and natural resource management with experience on large construction sites, urban regeneration and infrastructure works.
Considering how we can best inhabit our shared cultural environments is a fundamental aspect of his work as a Landscape Architect.
Martin is co-chair of the AILA Victoria Advocacy Committee for 2013/14. He is working on the Street14 competition and a responce to the Melbourne Plan 2050.

Peter Wilson
Senior Landscape ArchitectPeter has a wide range of experience on public a private sector projects. While working at the City of Casey, he developed a strong appreciation of the challenges of public realm projects from concept and consultation through to construction and on going place management.
Peter has a keen interest in sustainable design practice, integration of art and landscape architecture, WSUD and native planting design. His science background gives him a strong understanding of ecology and landscape systems.
Peter is currently undertaking a mentorship to become an AILA registered landscape architect.

Phil Smith
Landscape Architect
Phil has an extensive history in nursery, landscape and public amenity horticulture. His interest in urban ecology, permaculture and connection to land led to a career in Landscape Architecture. Phil studied and worked in the Netherlands, fostering and interest in water management and design and how landscapes work as a ecological and social space. His work looks to increase human connection to landscape and ecology.
Phil has taught and worked at RMIT, Melbourne Uni and Delft Technical University (Netherlands). Phil is an AILA registered landscape architect.

Landscape ArchitectCathryn began her landscape architecture career in Melbourne in 1999 after completing her degree in Perth and has been based in Melbourne ever since. Whilst maintaining her ‘other’ career as a musician, she has attained a wealth of experience from her work on many landscape architecture and urban design projects. With a passion for Sustainable Design that began with conservation work in her youth, Cathryn carries through these beliefs in her design and documentation work at Outlines.

Michelle Fan
Senior Landscape Architect
Michelle is experienced with projects on sensitive sites involving heritage, environmental overlays and revegetation. Project types which she has worked on over the years range from childcare, public realm, education, commercial, private residential, and residential developments, covering various stages from concept, master planning, town planning, documentation, contract administration to presentation graphics.
She is particularly motivated by projects which serve the broader community with a social agenda. She enjoys applying environmentally sustainable principles to support the design and together with a pragmatic approach to detailing, she seeks to deliver an enduring design aesthetic. She is also interested in exploring biomimicry in projects, and revealing the natural processes of the environment to educate the community. Monique's interest in plants and horticulture has lead her to further her knowledge and education in a Diploma of Horticulture.
